CHAPTER 6

Summary and Suggestions

Student teachers summarize what you had done during your practicum according to topics as follows:


6.1  Purposes of practicum

The main objective of the teaching practicum to me is to have a experience. It helps us to develop their teaching skill to observe class or how we can manage it. Experience is the best.


6.2  Procedures of practicum

The teacher will know what the topics and choose different strategies in order that the class is very active. Make first the lesson plan, materials, evaluation and assignment.

6.3  Outcomes of practicum

The teacher becomes more trained in teaching, or create the right lesson plan, know the appropriate teaching methods used, can manage the class, manage time.


6.4  The challenges of practicum

The challenge of teaching this time is how to explain the lessons in English, then how to control the class when the students are noisy, how to manage time.


6.5  Overall impression

Understand exactly what kind of teacher, understand how important teaching method, the importance of managing class and time. Lack when teaching.


6.6  Suggestions for future improvement


Hope the teacher improve again English skills, continues practice to be a good teacher, can manage the class, manage the time and used various teaching methods and correctly.

4.1  Planning for teaching

Before teaching I made observations to junior high schools to find out how the teaching system is here. then record what must be prepared and then see how the situation and condition of the class so as not to be surprised and there is always a solution if there is a problem in the class.


4.2  Preparing lessons and materials

After observing, of course we prepare a lesson plan. the learning plan that I raised was about or broad coverage that is ASEAN so that it can be easily understood by students in the class. in preparing it I was guided by a mentor to keep similarities or approval of the learning plan

First lesson plan


INTRODUCTION

a.       Teacher distributed the paper to 1 student.

b.      Teacher students to write their own identities in paper.

c.       Do not write down your own name. Then send the paper to the teacher.

d.      Teacher randomly picked up one sheet of paper.

e.       Teacher reads the text that the student wrote.

f.       Then the friend in the room together guess who is the teacher.

g.      Teacher links the content from the students' questions. The teacher will say that today we will learn about Human Interaction.


MIDDLE

a.       Teacher explained about human history.

b.      Teacher explained human asocial beings.

c.       Teachers give students examples of human interaction.


CONSOLIDATION AND/OR RECAPITULATION PROCESS

a.         Teacher students to do cabbage activities.

b.        Teacher distributes paper that resembles cabbage.

c.    Teachers clarify that when teachers open music. Have students send paper that resembles cabbage to their friends. When the song stops, if the paper is on it, the student must answer the question.


APPLICATION

a.       Teacher asked about the human interaction problem.

CONCLUSION

a.    Teachers and students share the lesson that Human interaction Man is a social Each human action is related to the actions of others in society. Interaction occurs immediately when one's actions affect one another's actions.

Second lesson plan


INTRODUCTION

a.    Teachers give students a picture of money in different countries in ASEAN.

b.    Teachers help students answer questions. Which picture matches the money of the country?

c.    The teacher links the content from the students' questions. The teacher will say that today we will learn about money.


MIDDLE

a.    Teachers explain the meaning of money to students.

b.    Money is what people in society are supposed to use as a medium of exchange. Money is what motivates and drives the product from the source to the consumer. And money can also serve an important economic purpose.

a.  Teachers bring a picture card of each country to explain what countries in ASEAN use currency.

b.  Teachers answer questions. The teacher asks if the money picture is up. What is the money? What's the name of the money?


CONSOLIDATION AND/OR RECAPITULATION PROCESS

a.    Teacher and students to do activity. Students are divided into groups of five to seven students.

b.    Teachers give each student's representative the following items: Proof Paper and Magic Pen

c.    Teacher clarified the activity. Each group of students helped to image the money of each country in ASEAN. Then write that the image is money country. And what currency?


APPLICATION

a.       One group of students randomly presented to the class. Have students explain about each country's money and suggest ways to use it in everyday life.

INTRODUCTION

a.       The teacher brought the ASEAN flag card to the students.

b.      Then let the students together say what is the picture.

c.       Teacher opens music video ASEAN Way Song. Students have watch.

d.      The teacher asked the students what song the song was. What about.

e.       The teacher links the content from the students' questions. The teacher will say that today we will learn about Nationality in ASEAN.


MIDDLE

a.    Teacher explains the background and role of the establishment of ASEAN. ASEAN is the Association of SouthEast Asian Nations or the Association of South East Asian Nations. Is a regional organization Established by 5 countries, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand, jointly launched the

ASEAN Declaration, Bangkok Declaration. Signed in Thailand on August 8, 1967.

c.         Teacher clarifies the activities. Have students send two agents to the front of the class to throw the dice. You can choose to open a sheet of labels and can answer the question that the image matches the country.If the wrong answer to the opponent's right to reply.
